The Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology, Pune was started by the Modern Education Society, Pune. The Society itself was founded by Late Prin. V. K. Joag, an eminent educationist and Late Sir Cusrow Wadia, an industrialist of repute. The Institute made an humble beginning in 1938 with setting up of Department of Applied Electricity. Since then the Institute has made rapid progress and today it is a full-fledged Polytechnic with multifarious activities under its umbrella.
Inaugurated on 15th July, 1969 by Dr. H. V. Patskar, the then Vice-chancellor of the University of Pune, the college has come along to become one of the best colleges for commerce in Pune. Apart from the B.Com degree courses the college also provides post graduate course for the M.Com degree, post graduate course in Banking and Taxation.
Nowrosjee Wadia College is one of the leading institute of Pune. A well defined infrastructure and an elegant ambience for the Science and Arts faculties has been developed. The college conducts courses leading to the B.A., B.Sc and B.C.S. degrees. The post-graduate courses include M.A., M.Sc., M.C.S., B.Lib.Sc. and others..
