The basic objective of the Masters’ Degree in Computer Management (M.C.M.) is to provide to the country a steady stream of competent young men and women with the necessary knowledge, skills and foundations for acquiring a wide range of rewarding careers into the rapidly expanding world of Information Technology.
Graduates can aspire as junior programmers, System analysts, Software Testers, Technical Writers, Network Administrators, and DBA etc.
Structure of the Course
The First two semesters of M.C.M. program is a blend of computer related and general business courses, which comprises of programming subjects as well as general business courses which include the functional area of management like marketing, financial, operations and general management.
The 3rd semester emphasis on specialization to be taken according to the area of interest of the students viz. Software Development, Software Testing and Networking. Students carry these specializations as a part of their project work in the 4th semester.
The M.C.M. course has an exhaustive method of assessment. It has 98 credit points in which the students are evaluated continuously with assignments, mock tests, role plays, presentations etc. which is an internal assessment, whereas the external assessment is done by the University of Pune each course independently.
